Is Christ the Creator God?

This entry is part 1 of 9 in the series Is Christ the Creator God?

When Christ condescended to become one with man in the womb of Mary, the creation of a new nature was in place. The first miracle of water mixed with fruit of the vine made new wine. This pre-figured a new creation, a creation called Christianity, establishing a new covenant. Not something seen by human eyes, not recognized as something physically or visibly reckoned, yet this was an altogether NEW creation. What had occurred was the unification of humanity with deity, and that right before the eyes of all that attended the wedding, yet, they received not the message. Again, there was something else miraculous that took place. The men who took the water/wine to the chief guest of the wedding were the recipients of the knowledge that no one else received. They knew the liquid that was in the barrels was water (because they filled the barrels with water, yet, to the amazement of their own eyes, they poured our wine). Not just wine, by the sweetest and best wine that mortal man had with his tongue ever tasted! It was called SALVATION. The prophecy of the “new wine” was clearly intended. “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judea shall flow with waters , and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim.” Jesus had told the men to “fill the water pots with water. And they filled them to the brim.” John 2:7
The “new wine” was a new covenant that was to be established by the Creator of all things New! Revelation 21:5 Also, “the wine was put in six pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, and contained two or three firkins apiece.”When the fulness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law.” Galatians 4:4 In six days of creation, the Son had created man, this creation was a union of soul/spirit/and physical body. The unity that existed was one of miraculous proportions, but, this man was not what Christ had meant to spend eternity with Deity. The possibility of making man a companion of Deity was not perfected until the 7th day of creation. This waited 4,000+ years to bring about. Seven always represents perfection and man was not yet perfect. But,“on the seventh day God rested from all His works.” Hebrews 4:3-9 Was that NOT the rest of the Lord, the Creator God?? The book of Hebrews introduces a completely new dimension to the discussion. The discussion centers around “REST.” Who’s rest? The rest of the people of God. The “people of God” were not the Jews of Abrahamic descent, it was the child of faith! “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not ‘And to seeds,’ as of many; but as of one. And to Thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot dis annul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of law, it is no more of promise. ” Galatians 3:15-18 “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.!” What Christ left off making at the creation, He finished on the tree of Calvary. He made possible the forgiveness of sin and the reconciliation with Deity that would allow man to live with Deity in a condition, not place called heaven (which is a condition, not a place) “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad.” Psalms 118:24 HE WAS FINISHED!!
In Haggai 2:6-9“Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the Desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts…the glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.” When Christ set up His kingdom, He said the kingdoms of this world became the kingdom of His Lord and Christ. It was, then, the “powers” in heaven were shaken. When Christ died on the cross, the “powers” that had reigned through the law of Sin and Death; the “powers” in the Patriarchal; the “powers” that had reigned from heaven through circumcision; the “powers” that had reigned through the law of Moses, were all nailed to the cross and blotted out, Ephesians 2:14 and Colossians 2:13-14. He spoiled “principalities and powers” and came triumphantly over them. John relates these conditions occurring in Revelation 6:12-17 and writes about the sixth covenant giving way to the seventh, the “perfect law of liberty.” James 1:25 The six covenants were “brought under the blood of the Lamb that was slain.”
