Error of Denominations

This entry is part 1 of 9 in the series Error of Denominations

There are many times people mis-understand the TRUTHS of the scriptures. One reason is they desire to. They are looking for a verse to fit their faith, not that of the Word of God!! Having been defeated in doctrinal discussion, they seek some way (as do children in a fight) to counter the truth with something they have heard and not studied. Like the Russellites, the easiest way to defend themselves is to TAKE A VERSE OUT OF CONTEXT and apply to it their own meaning (or the meaning of some pastor with whom they many times do not agree on other Biblical doctrines, but this time find agreement)!! Other times they just absolutely refuse to believe the truth and find solace in a verse they take completely out of context and will not discuss this verse with any other person or persons who they know will not agree with them, especially one who quotes verses of scripture IN CONTEXT not allowing persons, willingly or unwillingly, make the Word of God contradict itself!! The first point of this discussion then is this: God’s Word DOES NOT contradict itself!! 1 Corinthians 14:33
Pentecostal and Premillenialists use the above strategy for exegesis(??) when they discuss a verse they try to deny the truth on the change of the covenants, cessation of tongues and miracles, and the so-called “chosen ones, the Jews”. In this series, we study these “doctrines of demons” and see the blatant errors of their positions. We do not seek to convert them from the “error of their ways”!! If the written Word cannot be believed by them, how think we that we can do any better converting them by logic or debate??
“I change not”, is found in Hebrews the 13th chapter and the 8th verse. There are those who try to “change the night into the day”, Job 17:12, or take a truth and make it mis-represent every other thing taught in the Scriptures. This, if they are allowed, “damn themselves and them that hear them”. Matthew 23:15
If the God of Heaven cannot change anything, the second coming of Christ cannot occur!! When Jesus returns, He will “change” everything: the type of bodies of the saints, the situation in which all mankind will exists, the place of existence, the order of our existence, death will be NO MORE, tomorrow will never come, again, separation will be concluded.
If the God of Heaven cannot change, no sinner could ever be saved!! Do you not understand that it takes a “changing of the mind of God” to allow a sinner to be saved?? If “God changes not”, this will be impossible!! “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me (made it possible for a plan of salvation to be enacted so I could be saved!), for that He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy (something else we could not use IF GOD CHANGES NOT), because I did it ignorantly in unbelief…..Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long-suffering (something else God would not need), for a pattern (something else God would not need) to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting.” 1 Timothy 1:12-17 This doctrine is not sounding too good, is it??
If the God of Heaven cannot change, we would be living under three covenants: the Patriarchal, Mosaical, and Christian; and all at the same time!! What confusion. Under the Patriarchal there was NO SET DAY OF WORSHIP, under the Mosaic, the DAY was not set, just the date of observance (by the way, the Sabbath was NEVER a day of worship, it was a day of rest), and in the New Covenant, the Lord’s Day is the day!! Which do you chose? Do we do all three? Has God changed His mind?? Psa 115:24
