When Adam and Eve sinned God’s plan before creation was set in motion. Christ was coming to die for man whom They had loved before man became a being in the work of creation performed by Jesus Christ. God (all Three) did not wait for man to sin, make man sin, or deceive man so man would sin; God foreknew and therefore had planned before time ALL things!! “Known unto God (all Three) are all His works from the beginning of the world.” Acts 15:18
One of the many things we learn about Deity we recite but do not conceive-ONENESS. Unfortunately, some count one, two, three-etc and think that describes this one-ness, and it DOES NOT. In the Garden of Gethsemanae, Jesus prayed to the Father: “that they all may be ONE as thou Father, are in Me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me.” John 17:21 Christ was no more telling us He came from the Father, thanking Him for “becoming FROM” God, the Father’s being than He was praying that the apostles were thought to become ONE as they had been molded into ONE being after the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as they preached the gospel to all mankind. One day we will discusss this much more, but for this study let us concern ourselves with a revealed truth–God is the name of a nature, there are Three that possess this nature, They are equal in every respect (neither needing the help, care, or association with the Other; we have to be careful to recognize which of the Three of whom we read because Two or more of the Deity may be in the record and we not see Them. I will cite you an example of this in a moment. Habbakkuk 3:3 is a devastating blow to those who think at one time He who is mostly known as “the Father” was ALL ALONE with NONE OTHER beings in existence. They tell us God, in a weak moment, made He who is known as “the Word,” and then sometime, somehow, and they do not know just why; God the Father created the Spirit (and they and their Jehovah’s Witness brethren do not really know what to do with Him) was existent as some third rate Deity with little ability and little to do and was some kind of “sub God” the Father kept around. Christ created the worlds and mankind only by the “loaned” power of the Father and exist for eternity subject to the Father. They get this information from the 3rd chapter of Imagination, the 15-48th verses. Ha!
Most of us know that the first tablets of the Ten Commandments were written by the “finger of God,” but have not recognized the significance of this. We remember Moses threw the tablets and broke them when He saw the sin and debauchery of Israel. The second set Moses had to write. Not until Christ explained the importance of this could we see the beauty of this message. The “finger of God” is the Holy Spirit (see Luke 11:20 and Matthew 12:28). Not many people doubt that God, the Son was on Mt Sinai with Moses but not many recognize that the Holy Spirit was also present! Consistent with the truth and facts mentioned will show ALL OF SCRIPTURE was written by the “finger of God” (whether on stone, as an apostle spake, or when the apostles aid wrote down what the apostle told him to write!! Also, for the doubter, Jesus was said to be inferior in authority while here on earth and worked His miracles by the superior power of the Holy Spirit (you know, the third rate God).
Show me a better example of Oneness. It would have never been known the Holy Spirit was on the Mountain of Sinai with Christ had Christ not revealed this information 1500 years, later. Jesus tells us: If a love Me, he will keep My word and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him and make our abode with him.” John 14:23 “All authority has been given unto Me; Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature….baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” When Jesus came in the flesh, He came in the “form,” essence, equality as God, John 10:30, He did not empty Himself of His nature, He took on (added another function to the role He was fulfilling) the role of a servant. He emptied Himself (become less than He was in place and station) and became obedient (He had never obeyed anyone, before) unto death, even the death of the cross. It is true Deity humbled Itself to unite with humanity but God did not separate Himself from His nature to become man.
Who raised Christ from the dead God the Father, God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit? To show the oneness of Deity, it was all three!! Did it take all three, did they individually lie, or Were They ONE?
